Merchant API Credentials

OAuth2 API credentials allow an authorized external system to access supported AECloud integration services for a merchant.

Generate or replace a credential

1. Open the merchant account.
2. Find the API Client section.
3. Select Generate OAuth2 API Credential.
4. Read the confirmation message and confirm only when the integration owner is ready for a replacement credential.
5. Transfer the displayed client information to authorized integration personnel using an approved secure method.

Client IDs and client secrets grant system access. Do not place them in documentation, screenshots, email, support tickets, source code, or other unsecured locations.

Generating a new credential removes the existing API client and creates a replacement. The previous credential stops working. Update and test every connected outlet or external system that uses the merchant credential.

The credential is shared by the merchant's integrated outlets. Do not regenerate it as a troubleshooting experiment.
