Managing Outlets

Open Outlet to search, view, create, and maintain outlets belonging to the signed-in merchant account.

An outlet represents a merchant location used to identify the source of transactions. Integrated sales uploads can also cause outlets to be listed automatically from the outlet information supplied by the downstream system.

Find an outlet

Filter the list by Account Vendor, POS Vendor, Outlet Name, City Name, or search text. Select Reset to clear the filters.

The result list can show the outlet name, brand, accounting vendor, POS vendor, city, and status. Select the outlet name or the available action to open its information.

Create an outlet

  1. Open Outlet.
  2. Select Create Outlet.
  3. Enter the Short Name and Outlet Name.
  4. Enter the Brand Name, Account Vendor, POS Vendor, and City Name where applicable.
  5. Select the required Status.
  6. Select Create.

Important: The Short Name is required when customers use Self-Service to create invoices, debit notes, credit notes, or refund notes. It is used as the document-number prefix for these documents.

Confirm that the outlet does not already exist under a different spelling before creating it. Duplicate outlet records can separate transactions that belong to the same location.

Maintain an outlet

Open an outlet to review its profile and the related operational information available to the merchant. Depending on the selected view, this can include:

  • Sales document codes and transaction details
  • Customer information carried by transactions
  • Submission status
  • Invoice QR information

To edit the outlet, open the edit form and update its short name, outlet name, brand, accounting vendor, POS vendor, city, or status. Select Apply Changes.

Use Delete only when the outlet record is incorrect and deletion has been authorized. Do not delete an outlet merely because it has no recent transactions.

Before activating or creating another outlet, review the licensed-outlet quantity shown in the merchant account. Contact the responsible reseller when the required number of active outlets exceeds the subscription allowance.
