Entering Customer Details
The Customer Details step collects the buyer information used for the e-Invoice. Enter the information exactly as it should be submitted to LHDN Malaysia.
Choose the buyer situation
The I am selection provides these choices:
- Use My Own TIN — enter the buyer's own TIN and matching identity information.
- Foreigner — use the foreign-buyer classification provided by the console.
- Government — use the government-buyer classification provided by the console.
Choose the option that accurately represents the buyer. The console supplies the applicable general TIN when Foreigner or Government is selected. Do not select one of these options merely to bypass validation of an own TIN.
Required fields
The current form requires:
- Customer Name;
- Customer TIN;
- Identification Type;
- Identification Number;
- Contact No;
- Email Address;
- Address Line 1;
- City;
- State; and
- Country Code.
The available identification types include MyKad/MyKAS/MyPR-based NRIC identification, passport, and army identification. Select the type that matches the number entered.
Optional fields
The form also provides:
- Customer SST;
- Address Line 2;
- Address Line 3; and
- Postal Zone.
Although Postal Zone is not enforced as a required field by the form, provide it when it forms part of the buyer's address.
Data-entry guidance
- Enter the registered individual or organization name, not a casual nickname.
- When using an own TIN, make sure the TIN, identification type, and identification number belong together.
- Use an email address that you can access. It is used for submission and validation updates.
- Include the international dialling code when the telephone control requires it.
- Select the correct state and country instead of entering an approximate location.
- Enter the SST registration number only when applicable to the buyer.
Validation
For an own TIN, the console validates the combination of TIN, identification type, and identification number as part of submission. If the combination cannot be validated, the request stops and displays an error instead of continuing to the success page.
Navigation
- Select Back to return to the receipt details without submitting.
- Select Cancel to leave the temporary session.
- Select Submit only after reviewing every field. This immediately starts the submission process; it does not save a draft.
